- The NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced that Boston Bruins F Charlie McAvoy will have an in person hearing May 11th at the NHL’s New York City office for his slash on Buffalo Bruins F Zach Benson
- The NHL’s Department of Player Safety also announced that Ottawa Senators F Ridly Greig has been suspended for two games for roughing Carolina Hurricanes D Sean Walker.
- Greig will serve the suspension upon the start of the 2026-27 season
- The PWHL announced that Minnesota Ffrost F Britta Cuel-Salemme has been suspended for one game and fined following after two incidents that has been reviewed by the League’s Player Safety Committee.
- Also in the PWHL, the Player of the Week honor went to Montreal Victoire F Laura Stacey.
- Stacey recorded the first ever hat trick in PWHL Playoff history.

Philadelphia Flyers v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET – Game 2
- In Carolina, the Hurricanes look to jump out to the 2-0 series advantage over the Flyers and in the first Philadelphia took the 1-0 lead with Jamie Drysdale’s second of the postseason on the power play and then the Flyers made it a 2-0 lead with Sean Couturier’s first of the year. Then, Carolina got on the board with a power play goal from Nikolaj Ehlers, his first of the postseason. In the third, Seth Jarvis scored his first goal of the playoffs to tie the game for Carolina. In overtime, Taylor Hall went on to score the game winner to give the Hurricanes the 3-2 win over the Flyers and take the 2-0 series lead.
