- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have offered Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy an in-person hearing.
- McAvoy will be having a hearing for slashing Buffalo Sabres forward Zach Benson on during Game 6 on Friday night.
- By being offered an in-person, McAvoy faces a suspension that will be 6 games or more.

Minnesota Frost v. Montreal Victoire – 2 ET – Game 1 (PWHL)
- In Montreal, the Victoire would play host to the Minnesota Frost to begin their semifinal series, and in the first period, Katy Knoll and Kendall Coyne Schofield (PPG) would score to give the Frost the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Shiann Darkangelo and Laura Stacey would score to tie the game at two for the Victoire, but Grace Zumwinkle would score to give the Frost the lead once again. Then in the third period, both teams trade goals as Stacey would net her second of the game while on the powerplay for the Victoire while Sidney Morin would score shorthanded to retake the lead for the Frost. However, Stacey would score another powerplay goal to complete the hat trick, and first one in PWHL Walter Cup Playoff history, to tie the game at 4 for the Victoire to force overtime. In the extra frame, Jincy Roese would score with a weird bounce off of Ann-Renee Desbiens to give the Frost the 5-4 overtime victory and the 1-0 series lead over the Victoire.
Ottawa Charge v. Boston Fleet – 7p ET – Game 2 (PWHL)
- In Boston for Game 2, the Fleet look to take the 2-0 series lead over the Ottawa Charge, and in the first period, Ronja Savolainen would score to give the Charge the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Fanuza Kadirova would score to grow the Charge’s lead to two, but Megan Keller would score to get the Fleet on the board and back within one. Then in the third period, Gabbie Hughes would score the empty netter to give the Charge the 3-1 victory over the Fleet to tie the series at one.
Philadelphia Flyers v. Carolina Hurricanes – 8p ET – Game 1
- In Carolina for Game 1 of the 2nd Round of the Stanley cup Playoffs, the Philadelphia Flyers would look to weather the storm as they visit the Hurricanes, and in the first period, Logan Stankoven would strike 91 seconds into the game and Jackson Blake would score to give the Hurricanes the 2-0 lead. Then in the second period, Stankoven would net his second of the game to give the Hurricanes the eventual 3-0 victory over the Flyers to take Game 1. Frederik Andersen would stop all 19 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Hurricanes.
