News

  • The NHL announced the finalists for the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy.
    • The finalists are Cole Caufield (MON), Anze Kopitar (LA), and Jake Sanderson (OTT)

 

  • The Seattle Kraken announced that they would not be renewing the contract of assistant coach Jessica Campbell.
    • Campbell has been with the Kraken organization for the last 4 seasons and is the first woman in NHL history to be a full time coach in the league.
    • Campbell will be highly pursued throughout the NHL to be on their coaching staff.

 

  • In the PWHL they would announce their Starting Six for the month of April.
    • The Starting Six would feature forwards Jessie Eldridge (BOS), Kelly Pannek (MIN), and Jenn Gardiner (VAN), defenders Sophie Jacques (VAN) and Nicole Gosling (MON), and goaltender Ann-Renee Desbiens (MON).

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Ottawa Charge v. Boston Fleet – 7p ET – Game 1 (PWHL)

  • In the PWHL, the 2026 Walter Cup playoffs begin with the Ottawa Charge taking on the Boston Fleet and in the first Ottawa took the 1-0 lead when Jocelyne Larocque netted her first goal of the postseason on the Ottawa power play.  In the second, Boston tied the game when Alina Müller scored her first of the postseason and then the Fleet took the lead when Jamie Lee Rattray got her first of the playoffs.  With a scoreless third, the Fleet held on to take Game 1 with the 2-1 win over the Charge.

Dallas Stars v. Minnesota Wild – 730p ET – Game 6

  • In Minnesota, the Wild look to advance to the Second Round with a win over the Stars and in the first, Quinn Hughes scored his first goal of the postseason to put the Wild on the board.  In the second, Dallas tied the game when Wyatt Johnston scored his fourth of the year on the Stars power play and then Mavrik Bourque scored his first career NHL playoff goal to put the Stars in front.  Then, Vladimir Tarasenko scored his first goal of the postseason as the Wild tied the game 2-2.  In the third, Quinn Hughes scored his second of the game to put Minnesota up 3-2 and then Matt Boldy scores two empty net goals to give the Wild the 5-2 win and the 4-2 series win over the Stars to advance to the second round to take on the Colorado Avalanche.
