Ottawa Charge v. Boston Fleet – 7p ET (PWHL)
- In Boston, the Fleet hosted the Charge in the first of two PWHL games on the night, and after a scoreless first Abby Newhook’s seventh of the year gave the Fleet the 1-0 lead. In the third, Ottawa tied the game when Rebecca Leslie netted her 14th of the year. In overtime, Brianne Jenner scored the game winner with her 12th of the year as the Charge downed the Fleet 2-1.
Pittsburgh Penguins v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET – Game 3
- In Philadelphia, the Flyers look to take the commanding 3-0 series lead over the Penguins and in the first Pittsburgh took the 1-0 lead when Evgeni Malkin scored a power play goal, his second goal of the postseason. In the second, Philadelphia tied the game with a power play goal from Trevor Zegras, his first career postseason NHL goal, and then Rasmus Ristolainen put the Flyers up 2-1 with his first career postseason goal. Then, Philly went up 3-1 as Nick Seeler scored also scored his first career postseason goal. In the third, Erik Karlsson scored a power play goal, his first goal of the postseason, to bring Pittsburgh within a goal but then Noah Cates scored a power play goal of his own, marking the third player for the Flyers to score their first career postseason goal in this contest, to put Philadelphia back up two. Then, Owen Tippett scored an empty netter, his first goal of this postseason, to give the Flyers the 5-2 win and take the 3-0 series lead over the Penguins.
