  • The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane.
    • Kane would be fined $5,000 for slashing Calgary Flames forward Dryden Hunt on Saturday night.
    • The fine is the maximum allowed per the CBA.

Game Recaps

Buffalo Sabres v. Detroit Red Wings – 1p ET

  • In Detroit, the Red Wings continue to fight for the postseason as they take on the Sabres. In the first, Lucas Raymond scored his 26th to put the Wings up 1-0 and then Patrick Kane scored his 19th to give Detroit the 2-0 lead. Dylan Larkin then scored a power play goal to put Detroit up 3-0 but then Tage Thompson scored a power play goal of his own to put Buffalo on the board. Following a scoreless second and third period, the Red Wings downed the Sabres 3-1.

Minnesota Wild v. Chicago Blackhawks – 3:30p ET

  • In Chicago, the Blackhawks hosted the Wild and following a scoreless first, Kirill Kaprizov scored a power play goal to put Minnesota up 1-0 and then Marco Rossi scored his 21st to put the Wild up 2-0. Frederick Gaudreau then scored his fifth of the year to put Minnesota up 3-0. In the third, Kirill Kaprizov scored his second of the game as the Wild shutout the Blackhawks 4-0.

Columbus Blue Jackets v. Carolina Hurricanes – 5p ET

  • In Raleigh, the Hurricanes hosted the Blue Jackets and in the first Andrei Svechnikov scored his 18th to put Carolina up 1-0 and then Sebastain Aho scored a power play goal to put the Canes up 2-0. After a scoreless second, Teuvo Teravainen scored his 22nd as the Hurricanes shutout the Blue Jackets 3-0.

Arizona Coyotes v. San Jose Sharks – 6p ET

  • In San Jose, the Sharks hosted the Coyotes and in the first Lawson Crouse scored a power play goal to put Arizona up 1-0 but then Henry Thrun scored a power play of his own as San Jose evened the scored. Liam O’Brien then scored his fourth of the year as Arizona went up 2-1. In the second, Luke Kunin scored his 10th as the Sharks evened the score once more. In the third, Dylan Guenther scored his 14th to put the ‘Yotes up 3-2 and then Clayton Keller scored his 33rd as Arizona went up two. Nick Schmaltz then hit the empty net as the Coyotes downed the Sharks 5-2.

Ottawa Senators v. Washington Capitals – 6p ET

  • In Washington, the Capitals celebrated John Carlson playing in 1,000 games and then faced off against the Senators. In the first, Washington went up 1-0 with Max Pacioretty’s fourth of the year. In the second, Ottawa tied it up when Mark Kastelic scored his fifth but then Aliaksei Protas scored his sixth to give Washington the lead again. In the third, Ridly Greig scored his 13th as the Sens tied the game. In overtime, Jake Sanderson scored his 10th of the year as the Senators defeated the Capitals 3-2.

Nashville Predators v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET

  • In the Garden State, the Devils hosted the Predators and in the first New Jersey took the 1-0 with Jack Hughes scoring his 27th of the year but then Roman Josi scored his 21st as Nashville tied the game. Following a scoreless second, Chris Tierney scored his fourth as New Jersey got the lead once more but then Luke Evangelista scored a power play goal as the Preds tied the game. With a scoreless overtime, Ryan O’Reilly scored the lone goal in the shooutout to give the Predators the 3-2 win over the Devils.

Montréal Canadiens v. New York Rangers – 7p ET

  • In New York City, the Rangers and Canadiens took battle in an Original Six match-up. In the first, Cole Caufield scored his 24th as Montréal went up 1-0. In the second, Mika Zibanejad scored a power play goal as New York tied the contest. In the third, Chris Kreider scored a power play goal to put New York up 2-1 and then Artemi Panarin’s 46th gave the Blueshirts the 3-1 lead. Alex Newhook then scored his 13th as Montreal came within a goal but then Mika Zibanejad scored his second of the night as New York went back up two. Alexis Lafrenière then scored an empty netter as the Rangers took down the Canadiens 5-2.
