- Forward Brian Boyle announced his retirement.
- Boyle played for the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils, Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
- Boyle played in 871 career NHL games and record 141 goals and 111 assists for 252 points.
- Boyle would also win the 2017-18 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy while with New Jersey.

- Pittsburgh Penguins v. Colorado Avalanche – 8p ET
- In Colorado the Avalanche would play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and after a scoreless first period JT Compher would score for the Avs, but goals from Sidney Crosby, Jake Guentzel, and Jeff Carter would score to give the Pens the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period Devon Toews would score for the Avs, but Carter’s second of the game and a tally from Bryan Rust would give the Penguins the 5-2 victory over the Avalanche.

- Arizona Coyotes v. Edmonton Oilers – 1030p ET
- In Edmonton the Arizona Coyotes would come to town to take on the Oilers, and in the first period Connor McDavid would open the scoring for the Oilers with his 59th of the season, but JJ Moser would score to tie the game at one for the Yotes. In the second and third period both Clayton Keller and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would each score a pair of goals for the Yotes and Oilers respectively for the 3-3 tie. Then in overtime McDavid would net his second of the game to earn his 60th goal of the season and give the Oilers the 4-3 victory over the Coyotes.
