Welcome to the TXHT PHF Weekend Recap for the Weekend of Friday, February 24th through Sunday, February 26th, 2023, plus news coming out of the weekend.
Friday, February, 24th, 2023
Game #1 – Boston Pride v. Metropolitan Riveters
- In New Jersey for some Friday night hockey the Metropolitan Riveters would play host to the Boston Pride, and in the first period Loren Gabel would open the scoring for the Pride, but Fanni Garat-Gasparics would score to tie the game at one for the Rivs. In the second period Kendal Cornine, Amanda Pelkey, and Minttu Tuominen would score to give the Rivs the 4-1 lead. Then in the third period Taylor Wenczkowski would score for the Pride, but a pair of goals from Kelly Babstock would give the Riveters the 6-2 victory over the Pride.
Saturday, February 25th, 2023
Game #1 – Buffalo Beauts v. Montreal Force
- In Montreal the Buffalo Beauts would look to continue their winning ways as they face the Force, and in the first period Mikyla Grant-Mentis would net a pair of goals and Kristina Schuler would score to give the Beauts the 3-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second Jade Downie-Landry would score for the Force, but it would be too little, too late as the Beauts would defeat the Force 3-1.
Game #2 – Toronto Six v. Minnesota Whitecaps
- In Minnesota the Whitecaps would go to battle with the Toronto Six, and after a scoreless first period Tereza Vanisova would score the lone goal of the game as the Six would defeat the Whitecaps 1-0. Elaine Chuli would stop all 36 shots faced to earn the shutout victory.
Sunday, February 26th, 2023
Game #1 – Toronto Six v. Minnesota Whitecaps
- Back in Minnesota the Whitecaps would play host to the Toronto Six, and in the first period Natalie Snodgrass would open the scoring for the Whitecaps, but goals from Dominika Laskova, Tereza Vanisova, and Shiann Darkangelo would give the Six the 3-1 lead. In the second period Darkangelo and Laskova would both net their second of the game while Lexi Templeman would score to give the Six the 6-1 lead. Then in the third period Michela Cava would score to give the Six the 7-1 victory over the Whitecaps.
Game #2 – Buffalo Beauts v. Montreal Force
- In Montreal the Buffalo Beauts would look to continue thier winning ways against the Force, and in the first period Mikyla Grant-Mentis and Whitney Dove would score for the Beauts, but a pair of goals from Jade Downie-Landry and a tally from Sarah Lefort would give the Force the 3-2 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Lefort would net her second of the game and both Alyssa Holmes and Kristina Shanahan would score to give the Force the 6-2 victory over the Beauts.
Game #3 – Metropolitan Riveters v. Connecticut Whale
- In Connecticut the Whale would host their final home game of the regular season as they take on the Metropolitan Riveters, and in the first period Taylor Girard would open the scoring for the Whale, but goals from Madison Packer and Minttu Tuominen would give the Rivs the 2-1 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Emilie Harley would score for the Rivs, but Girard would net her second of the game, Caitrin Lonergan would score, and Justine Reyes would net the hat trick to give the Whale the 6-3 victory over the Riveters.

First Star – Madison Packer (MET)
- Madison Packer would record two goals and two assists in two games played for the Metropolitan Riveters.
Second Star – Tereza Vanisova (TOR)
- Tereza Vanisova would record three goals in two games for the Toronto Six.
Third Star – Justine Reyes (CTW)
- Justine Reyes would record a hat trick in the Connecticut Whale’s 6-3 comeback victory over the Riveters on Sunday.
