News

  • The Montreal Canadiens and Dallas Stars would make a trade.
    • The Canadiens acquired forward Denis Gurianov.
    • The Stars acquired forward Evgenii Dadonov.
      • The Habs also retained 50% of Dadonov’s salary.

  • The St. Louis Blues and Vegas Golden Knights would make a trade.
    • The Golden Knights acquired forward Ivan Barbashev.
    • The Blues acquired forward Zach Dean.

  • The Nashville Predators announced that General Manager David Poile will retire at the end of the season.
    • Barry Trotz has been announced as the next general manager, and will take over on July 1st, 2023.
    • Poile has been the only general manager in Predators history, and will remain an advisor to the team.
    • Trotz will work with Poile and his management team as an advisor for these next four months.

  • The Colorado Avalanche and the Chicago Blackhawks would make a trade.
    • The Avalanche would acquire defenseman Jack Johnson.
    • The Blackhawks would acquire defenseman Andreas Englund.

  • The San Jose Sharks and New Jersey Devils would make a trade.
    • The Devils would acquire forward Timo Meier and defenseman Scott Harrington.
      • The Devils also acquired forward Timur Ibragimov, defenseman Santeri Hatakka, goaltender Zachary Emond, and Colorado’s 2024 5th Round Pick.
    • The Sharks would acquire forwards Fabian Zetterlund and Andreas Johnsson.
      • The Sharks also acquired defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin, a conditional 2023 1st Round Pick, a conditional 2024 2nd Round Pick, and a 2024 7th Round Pick.
      • The Sharks will also retain 50% of Meier’s salary.

Game Recaps

  • Washington Capitals v. Buffalo Sabres – 1p ET
    • In buffalo the Sabres would play host to the Washington Capitals, and in the first period Dylan Cozens and Tage Thompson would score for the Sabres, but Dylan Strome and TJ Oshie would respond with goals of their own to tie the game at two for the Caps. In the second period Jeff Skinner, Zemgus Girgensons, and Vinnie Hinostroza would score to chase Darcy Kuemper from the Caps net for the Sabres, and then Cozens would net his second of the game to give the Sabres the 6-2 lead, but Alex Ovechkin and Sonny Milano would score to get themselves back within two. Then in the third period Cozens would complete the hat trick to give the Sabres the 7-4 victory over the Capitals.

  • Columbus Blue Jackets v. Minnesota Wild – 2p ET
    • In Minnesota the Wild would play host to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and in the first period Mathieu Olivier would score to give the Jackets the 1-0 lead. In the second period Liam Foundry would score to grow the Jackets lead to two. Then in the third period Kirill Kaprizov would net a pair of goals to tie the game at two for the Wild. In overtime Kaprizov would complete the hat trick to give the Wild the 3-2 comeback victory over the Blue Jackets.

  • New York Islanders v. Winnipeg Jets – 330p ET
    • In Winnipeg the Jets would take on the New York Islanders, and in the first period Bo Horvat would score to give the Isles the 1-0 lead. In the second period Alexander Romanov and Brock Nelson would score to grow the Isles lead to three. Then in the third period Adam Pelech would strike to give the Islanders the 4-0 victory over the Jets.

  • Los Angeles Kings v. New York Rangers – 5p ET
    • At Madison Square Garden the Los Angeles Kings would visit to battle the New York Rangers, and in the first period Alexis Lafreniere would score to give the Rangers the 1-0 lead. In the second period Vincent Trocheck would net a pair of goals to give the Rangers the 3-0 lead, but Viktor Arvidsson would score to get the Kings on the board and back within two. Then in the third period Matt Roy would score for the Kings, but Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad would score to give the Rangers the 5-2 victory over the Kings.

  • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 6p ET
    • In Pittsburgh the Penguins would play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Drew O’Connor would score for the Pens to take the 1-0 lead, but Anthony Cirelli and Nikita Kucherov would score to give the Bolts the 2-1 lead. In the second period Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby, Teddy Blueger, Jeff Carter, Jason Zucker, and Brian Dumoulin would score for the Pens to take the dominating 7-2 lead. Then in the third period Brayden Point would score for the Bolts, but the Penguins would hold on to defeat the Lightning 7-3.

  • Toronto Maple Leafs v. Seattle Kraken – 7p ET
    • In Seattle the Kraken would take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, and in the first period Vince Dunn would open the scoring for the Kraken, but Mark Giordano, John Tavares, Timothy Liljegren would score for the Leafs to take the 3-1 lead. In the second period Auston Matthews would score to grow the Leafs lead to three. Then in the third period Matthews would net his second of the game to give the Maple Leafs the 5-1 over the Kraken.

  • Nashville Predators v. Arizona Coyotes – 7p ET
    • In Arizona the Nashville Predators would visit the Coyotes, and in the first period Shayne Gostisbehere would open the scoring for the Yotes, but goals from Yakov Trenin and Matt Duchene would give the Preds the 2-1 lead. In the second period Roman Josi would score to grow the Preds lead to two, but Nick Schmaltz would score to get the Yotes back within one. Then in the third period Tommy Novak and Cody Glass would score and Josi would net his second of the game to give the Predators the 6-2 victory over the Coyotes.
