Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of January 9th through 15th.
First Star – Martin Jones (G – SEA)
- Martin Jones would go a perfect 3-0-0 with a 1.67 goals against average and a .933 save percentage that would also see him record two shutouts for the Seattle Kraken. Jones would start the week with a 21 save 4-0 shutout victory over Montreal on Jan. 9th, and then he would follow it up with a 27 save 3-0 shutout victory over Boston on Jan. 12th. Then to close out the week Jones would make 22 saves in a 8-5 victory over Chicago on Jan. 14th.
Second Star – Lucas Raymond (LW – DET)
- Lucas Raymond would record three goals and four assists for seven points in three games played for the Detroit Red Wings. Raymond would start the week with a goal and two assists in a 7-5 victory over Winnipeg on Jan. 10th, and then on Jan. 12th he would also record a goal and two assists in a 4-1 victory over Toronto. Then to close out the week Raymond would tally a goal in a 4-3 loss to Columbus on Jan. 14th.
Third Star – Nikita Kucherov (RW – TB)
- Nikita Kucherov would record three goals and four assists for seven points in three games played for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and to start off the week Kucherov would record tow goals and two assists in a 6-3 victory over Columbus on Jan. 10th. Then on Jan. 12th he would record a goal and an assist in 5-4 victory over Vancouver, and to close out the week Kucherov would record an assist in a 4-2 victory over St. Louis on Jan. 14th.
