- The NHL Department of Player Safety handed out a pair of suspensions for actions that took place on Friday night.
- DoPS first announced the suspension of Buffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner.
- Skinner was suspended for three games for cross checking Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel.
- Skinner will forfeit $145,945.95 per the terms of the CBA and based on his average annual salary.

- In early afternoon action the Nashville Predators would play host to the Ottawa Senators, and after a scoreless first period both teams would trade tallies as Yakov Trenin would open the scoring the for the Preds while Claude Giroux would score to tie the game at one for the Sens. Then in the third period Nino Niederreiter would score for the Preds, but goals from Alex DeBrincat and Drake Batherson would give the Senators the 3-2 victory over the Predators.

- Detroit Red Wings v. Dallas Stars – 2p ET
- In Dallas the Stars would host the Detroit Red Wings, and in the first period Dylan Larkin would open the scoring for the Wings, but Denis Gurianov would strike to tie the game at one for the Stars. In the second period Jamie Benn would score to give the Stars the lead, but David Perron would score for the Wings to tie it back up. Then after a scoreless third period it would be Nils Lundkvist would score to give the Stars the 3-2 victory over the Red Wings.

- Florida Panthers v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 430p ET
- In Tampa Bay the Battle of Florida would go full on Reverse Retro as the Lightning would host the Panthers, and in the first period Pat Maroon would net his first of the season to give the Bolts the 1-0 lead. In the second period Zac Dalpe would strike to give tie the game at one for the Panthers. Then in the third period Brayden Point, Mikhail Sergachev, and Steven Stamkos would score to give the Lightning the 4-1 victory over the Panthers.

- Buffalo Sabres v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
- In Pittsburgh we would have it back to the way it should be as the Penguins would wear their white jerseys as they host the royal blue laden Buffalo Sabres, and in the first period Rickard Rakell and Sidney Crosby would score to give the Pens the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period Peyton Krebs would score for the Sabres, but Crosby’s second of the game would give the Penguins the 3-1 victory over the Sabres.

- Calgary Flames v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
- In Toronto for Hockey Night in Canada the Maple Leafs would host the Calgary Flames, and in the first period Auston Matthews would open the scoring for the Leafs, but goals from Noah Hanafin and Nazem Kadri would give the Flames the 2-1 lead. However, later in the period William Nylander would score to tie the game at two for the Leafs. In the second period Trevor Lewis would score to give the Flames the 3-2 lead, but Nylander would strike late again to tie the game at three for the Leafs. Then in the third period Hanafin would net his second of the game for the Flames while Michael Bunting would score for the Leafs as this game would go to overtime tied at four a piece. In the extra frame Mitch Marner would score to give the Maple Leafs the 5-4 victory over the Flames.

- Los Angeles Kings v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montreal the Canadiens would channel the Expos as they would rock their Reverse Retro jerseys against the Los Angeles Kings, and in the first period Anze Kopitar and Viktor Arvidsson would score to give the Kings the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period Mike Hoffman and Cole Caufield would score for the Habs, but goals from Alexander Edler and Adrian Kempe would give the Kings the 4-2 victory over the Canadiens.

- Carolina Hurricanes v. New York Islanders – 730p ET
- On Long Island the Fisherman has been unleashed as the New York Islanders would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, and after a scoreless first period Paul Stastny would net his first as a Cane to give them the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Jordan Staal would score to give the Hurricanes the 3-0 victory over the Islanders.

- Minnesota Wild v. Vancouver Canucks – 10p ET
- In Vancouver the Canucks would play host to the Minnesota Wild, and in the first period Matt Boldy would score for the Wild to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Connor Dewar would strike to grow the Wild’s lead to two. Then in the third period Sam Steel would score to give the Wild the 3-0 victory over the Canucks.
