It all comes down to this, the all important Game 7. Both teams have won three games, all on their home ice. The winner from this game will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to faceoff against the waiting Tampa Bay Lightning.
Here is how the two teams would line up:
Early in the first period, the visiting Rangers would get on the board first. The goal coming from Adam Fox, his fifth goal of the playoffs. The assists on the play would come from Alexis Lafreniere and Andrew Copp. The goal would come via the power play.
Five minutes later, the Rangers would double their lead in the game. The goal coming from Chris Kreider, his seventh goal of the playoffs. The assists on the play would come from Mika Zibanejad and Adam Fox, his second point of the game. The goal would also come via the power play, their second goal of the game. The Rangers would take a 2-0 lead heading into the second period.
Late in the second period, the Rangers would add a third goal of the game, giving them an insurance marker. The goal would be tallied by Ryan Strome, his second goal of the playoffs. The assists on the play coming from Artemi Panarin and K’Andre Miller. The Rangers would have a commanding 3-0 lead heading to the third period.

The Hurricanes would finally get on the board and cut into the Ranger lead. The goal coming from Vincent Trocheck, his sixth goal of the playoffs. The lone assist on the play coming from Sebastian Aho.
The Rangers would have an immediate response, scoring 40 seconds after the Carolina goal. The scorer was Filip Chytil, his fifth goal of the playoffs. The lone assist on the play coming from Kaapo Kakko.
The Hurricanes would get another goal, in their attempt to make a comeback. The goal being deposited by Max Domi, his third goal of the playoffs. The assists on the play coming from Jordan Martinook and Jesperi Kotkaniemi.
The Rangers would once again have a quick response, as Andrew Copp would nab his sixth goal of the playoffs, and his second point of the game. The assists on the play would come from Mika Zibanejad, his third assist of the game, and Barclay Goodrow.
The Rangers would be on the victorious end of a 6-2 Game 7 win, and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals to faceoff against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
