Boston Bruins v.s Carolina Hurricanes

Game Recap:
Win or go home! That’s what we have here as the late afternoon Game 7 matchup of the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs features the Boston Bruins on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes. The first period was a pretty evenly matched one with the shots advantage only being a difference by one. However, the only thing that matters it’s what’s on the scoreboard and the Carolina Hurricanes were on it first thanks to a late goal from Teuvo Teravainen. He received a quick pass from Max Domi and then wristed the shot past Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman for the 1-0 lead and would hold the rest of the first period.
Max Domi at the 3:14 mark of period two extended the lead to two as he followed a rebound shot from the point and buried the puck in the back of the net. The Bruins got within one goal a couple minutes later thanks to a goal from Jake DeBrusk took a feed to the slot from Patrice Bergeron and buried it into the back of the net. Five minutes later we would see Max Domi get his second goal of the game and playoffs as he gave Carolina their two goal lead back. Teuvo Teravainen found Domi in the slot and snapped the puck in for the goal. After two periods, the Carolina Hurricanes lead the Boston Bruins 3-1.
The third and final period for the most part saw the Hurricanes doing everything they could to quiet the Bruins, and they certainly did quiet them the majority of the time. Boston was able to get within one goal with about twenty seconds left in the game thanks to David Pastrnak. Unfortunately for the Bruins, it was too late as time ran out on their season and the Carolina Hurricanes would win by a final score of 3-2. Carolina now advances to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
