Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Wally’s Warriors jersey (and shirsey) from the VASHL.

Wally’s Warriors is named after the legendary hockey father Walter Gretzky. The View Askew Street Hockey League (aka VASHL) is a regular participant in Walter’s street hockey tournaments in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, and after creating a relationship with Walter created the Wally’s Warriors team that would participate in the tournament.

The Wally’s Warriors logo is a very Roman/Spartan-esque warrior brandishing a hockey stick and with Walter featured as the warrior. It also features Walter’s signature underneath the logo. The colors are reminiscent to the Ottawa Senators, but the way the color scheme is set up, it works very nicely. The font for the numbers is also very fitting an compliments the jersey really well.

Walter passed away a year ago today, but he lived a very fulfilling life, and left an everlasting impact on the game of hockey. The VASHL is honored to have gotten to have Walter share something special with the league, and will always honor him.
