This week would be a very short one as the Seattle Kraken would only play two games (back to back) before heading into the All Star Break. Speaking of the All Star game, Jordan Eberle was the representative for the Kraken. Let’s take a look back at the week that was as the Kraken facesd off against the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders, & Jordan Eberle’s All Star performance:
Kraken lose close one in Beantown @ the Bruins (2/1/32)
Shutout victory on Long Island (2/2/22)
All-Star Eberle
How’s it Kraken? My thoughts on the week
Honestly, there’s really not too much you can say about this week as it was a very short one. The game against the Bruins despite being down 2-0 (and ultimately losing this one), came back to tie things up and showed they have plenty of fight in them. Not the result the Kraken wanted but there was positive vibes to be found in this defeat.
Obviously, getting the franchise’s very first shutout in team history is a big deal. Seattle played well against the Islanders who have been very disappointing season thus far. However, a win is a win and the Kraken worked very hard in this one as it took until the third period for the scoring to open up. Once it did thanks to Jared McCann, the Kraken never looked back as Vince Dunn & Mason Appleton helped seal the historic victory.
Jordan Eberle represented the Seattle Kraken very well and enjoyed the all star festivities. He even scored a breakaway goal in the game as well being the first Kraken player to score in an all star game. Eberle even participated in a new skills competition in the Discover Fountain face off. The participants stood on a platform in the fountain at the Bellagio casino on the Las Vegas strip and fired pucks into five targets that were floating in the fountain. It was a very neat and cool competition but let’s just say that this wasn’t Eberle’s best performance but he and the others had fun regardless. It’s nice to see a very skilled and hard working player like him get rewarded for his efforts as Jordan Eberle has been one of the bright spots to the Seattle Kraken’s inaugural season. Now that the all star festivities are over with, it’s time to finish off the rest of the regular season. The Kraken return to action on Wednesday night as they take on the Arizona Coyotes at home in Seattle. Let’s see what happens this week…stay tuned Seattle!
