  • The NHL announced that the players will not be able to participate in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
    • The three week break between Feb. 6th through 22nd will be used to accommodate games that have been postponed, and to also help balance the schedule.

  • Monumental Sports and Entertainment announced that fans will need to provide proof of vaccination through the CLEAR app starting Jan. 15th, 2022.
    • Announcement comes after Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced that she is implementing a Proof of Vaccination Mandate along with DC’s Indoor Mask Mandate.
