2021-22 Preview

The Vegas Golden Knights are looking for that little push that’ll get them back into the Stanley Cup Final. On offense they added some scoring when they traded for Evgenii Dadonov from Ottawa. Also acquiring Nolan Patrick from Philadelphia (via Nashville) gives them a third line center that they’ve really needed. They still need a quality second line center, but they definitely have improved down the middle this offseason.

On defense they traded Nick Holden to Ottawa, but it wasn’t a major loss to the Knights. They still have a really good top four, and they defensive depth is still really solid. In between the pipes Robin Lehner is the number one guy now after seeing Marc-Andre Fleury shipped off to Chicago. Lehner has shown that he can be a number one guy, and the signing of Laurent Brossoit gives the Knights a capable backup that can pick up some games when needed.
