2021-22 Preview

Going into the offseason the Florida Panthers look to get over the first round hump. The key additions for the Panthers were Sam Reinhart and Joe Thornton. Thornton will be more of a bottom six forward, but brings valuable experience that the Panthers could use. Reinhart will add extra scoring depth to the Panthers as they needed more scoring in their lineup. Outside of these two additions, the Panthers kept their man core from last season.

On defense the Panthers made no changes, and are pretty solid throughout their defensive core. In net the Panthers will look to Spencer Knight to be the new backup to Sergei Bobrovsky, and potentially take the number one spot from Bobrovsky too. Knight has a lot of potential, and if managed properly, he’ll develop into a solid number one goaltender in the NHL.
