Game Recaps

  • Washington Capitals v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 3p ET
    • In their first game since last Sunday, the Washington Capitals travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins. In the first period Evgeny Kuznetsov would score a fluky goal on the powerplay to give the Caps the 1-0 lead, but goals from Bryan Rust and Brandon Tanev would give the Pens the 2-1 lead. Then in the second period Jakub Vrana would tie the game for the Caps, but Rust’s second of the game while on the powerplay and Jake Guentzel’s fifth of the season would give the Pens their first two goal lead of the season. However, before the end of the second period Nicklas Backstrom would score his 7th of the season to bring the Caps back within one. Then in the third period Zach Aston-Reese and Sidney Crosby would both net empty net goals to give the Penguins the 6-3 victory over the Capitals.
  • Philadelphia Flyers v. New York Rangers – 6p ET
    • Postponed
  • Colorado Avalanche v. Vegas Golden Knights – 7p ET
    • In Vegas the Golden Knights take on the Colorado Avalanche, who is returning for their first game since having games postponed due to COVID Protocols, in a preview for this Saturday’s matchup at Lake Tahoe. After a scoreless first period Max Pacioretty would score his seventh of the season to give the Knights the 1-0 lead. Come the third period the Golden Knights would hold of the Avalanche and take the 1-0 victory.
