The Blues played three games this week, going 2-1. They played all three games against the Coyotes, making it 6 straight against them. I think I can speak for most Blues fans when I say that we are tired of them.
The first game was a lackluster shootout loss on Monday. This game was particularly bad because they had the lead and lost it on a last second Clayton Keller goal. The Blues took way too many bad penalties, which drew the ire of Coach Craig Berube. The bright spots of the game were Ryan O’Reilly who scored 2 goals and had one assist, and David Perron who notched the other goal.
The next game was much more exciting, ending with a 4-1 Blues win. In this game, Justin Faulk scored twice, along with Brayden Schenn and Ivan Barbashev.
Last night, the Blues escaped with a 5-4 overtime win. Overall the team played very solidly, and ended the game with an absolute snipe by Mike Hoffman.
The Blues next game is tomorrow against…the Coyotes.Â
