- Jim Rutherford has announced that he is resigning as general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins, citing personal reasons.
- Patrik Allvin, assistant general manager, will fill in as interim general manager while the Penguins begin their search for their ne GM.

- Chicago Blackhawks v. Nashville Predators – 730p ET
- In Nashville the Predators would play host to the Chicago Blackhawks, and we would not see any goals until the third period as Nick Cousins would open the scoring to give the Predators the 1-0 lead, but moments later Ryan Carpenter would strike to tie the game at one. After a scoreless overtime period it would be Matt Duchene, and in his 800th NHL game, with the shootout winner as the Predators would pick up the 2-1 victory.
- Ottawa Senators v. Vancouver Canucks – 8p ET
- In the second game of the night the Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators would do battle once again. In the first period Tyler Motte would open the scoring for the Canucks, but Josh Norris would tally for the Sens to tie the game. Then in the second period JT Miller would net a pair of goals and Elias Pettersson would score on the powerplay to give the Canucks a 3 goal lead, and then in the third period Motte would ice the game with his second of the game as the Canucks would go on to win 5-1 over the Senators.
