  • The St. Louis Blues announced that Jim Montgomery has joined Craig Berube’s coaching staff as an assistant coach.
    • Montgomery agreed to a two year deal to join the Blues.
    • Montgomery replaces Marc Savard who left after one season with the Blues.

 

  • The Buffalo Sabres and Minnesota Wild executed a trade with each other.
    • The Sabres acquire forward Eric Staal
    • The Wild acquire forward Marcus Johansson
      • There was no salary retained on either side.

 

  • The Montreal Canadiens have signed defenseman Joel Edmundson to a four year deal.
    • Edmundson’s new deal comes with a $3.5 million AAV.
    • Edmondson was acquired from Carolina earlier this week.
