First Period:
The Flyers opened up the game hot – scoring the first two goals of the game. The first by Kevin Hayes on a nifty play:
And the second by James van Riemsdyk:
The Islanders got one back before the period ended when Derick Brassard got his second goal in as many games.
Second Period:
The Islanders flipped the script in the second, scoring two goals of their own, first by Matt Martin:
Then by Anders Lee:
Philly got one back when Michael Raffl tied the game at 3.
The Islanders took the lead again when Mat Barzal made it 4-3.
Third Period:
Philly struck back to tie the game with a goal from Scott Laughton.
Overtime:
There was no scoring in the first overtime.
Second Overtime:
Then in the second overtime both teams would battle hard in both ends of the ice, but it would be an Ivan Provorov point blast to give the Flyers the 5-4 victory.
The Flyers hold on and survive to force Game 7 on Saturday.
