Tampa Bay Lightening v. Columbus Blue Jackets
Game 4 – First Round
The two teams sported the following lineups:
Tampa Bay:
Columbus:
First Period:
Not much action in the first period with no team scoring. Columbus thought they had a goal after Oliver Bjorkstrand put one past Vasilevskiy, but Tampa successfully challenged. The score remained 0-0 going in to the second.
Second Period:
The second period was very different with Barclay Goodrow wasting no time, scoring one for Tampa 16 seconds in to the period.
Less than 5 minutes later Tampa added another with Yanni Gourde scoring his second of the playoffs.
Cam Atkinson cut the deficit in half about a minute later, but Columbus went in to the third trailing 2-1.
Third Period:
The third period was much like the first, with no team scoring. Tampa handled this game very well, like the better team that they are. They take a 3-1 series lead going in to Wednesday’s noon game. Look for them to end the series then.
