Today is Game 4 of the series between the Montreal Canadiens and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Game 1 went in favor of the Montreal Canadiens by a final score of 3-2 in overtime. Pittsburgh took Game 2 by a score of 3-1. Montreal then rebounded in Game 3 and won it by a score of 4-3.
Game 4 Lineups
There was no scoring in the first and second periods, as it was a close game with both teams trading great chances back and forth. Both goaltenders were standing tall in this one.
In the third period though, it was late in the period when Brandon Tanev turned the puck over in his own zone, which lead to an eventual goal by Artturi Lehkonen. With the assist on the play coming from the hard working Paul Byron.
The Canadiens would double their lead when their captain Shea Weber would ice the cake with an empty net goal, clinching the series.
The Canadiens will have to wait till the end of the round robin games to find out who their opponent will be for the first round.
