Today in the National Women’s Hockey League the Connecticut Whale have signed the second overall pick of the 2020 Draft.
Whale Sign 2nd Overall Pick
- The Connecticut Whale have announced that they have signed forward Kayla Friesen for the 2020-21 season.
- Friesen, the 2nd overall pick of the 2020 NWHL Draft, played her senior year at Clarkson University where she scored 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 points in 28 games.
- Her first three years were played at St. Cloud State University, and served as captain in her junior year.
- Friesen developed at St. Mary’s Academy Prep in Winnipeg, and in her final season (2015-16) she would record 26 goals and 52 assists for 78 points in 45 games.
