Big news for the Connecticut Whale today, as their Captain has re-signed with the team and will return for her sixth season with the team!
Last season, Doyle had a strong campaign, in which she scored 3 goals and added 5 assists for 8 points in the 13 games she played. It was good for third on the team in points, but best for all defenders on the Whale last season. This season, she followed up with an even better points total, with 2 goals and 9 assists for 11 points. It’s tied for the team lead this season!
Doyle was selected to participate in the NWHL All Star game in Boston, where she dressed for Team Dempsey with fellow Whale teammates Emma Vlasic and Jordan Brickner.

Also this season, Shannon Doyle would take part in some charitable work called Blocks For Books. In which she, and various other NWHL players would donate for every blocked shot they registered. Shannon Doyle, her total at the end of the year, blocked 67 shots during the regular season and added 5 more in the playoffs!

Shannon Doyle numbers have gotten better and better as the years have gone on. The Whale get to keep their veteran presence on their back end. Excited to see what she’ll do next season!
TXHT will continue to provide NWHL coverage as more signings and news are announced.
