NWHL News and Notes for Thursday, March 26th, 2020

Today the National Women’s Hockey League announced their first signing of the 2020-21 NWHL season.

 

Cornine Returns

  • The Metropolitan Riveters have re-signed forward Kendall Cornine for the 2020-21 season.

  • Cornine becomes the first player to re-sign for the 2020-21 season, and will return to the Riveters where the New Jersey native recorded 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points in 24 regular season games in her rookie season.
  • She would also record 113 shots on goal (which would lead the team), along with 305 faceoff wins for a 53.6 faceoff winning percentage.
  • On Dec. 10th, 2019 Cornine would be named the VEDA Player of the Week, and would represent the Riveters in the NWHL All Star Game.
