Game Recaps:
New York Rangers v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p EST Start Time
In Philadelphia the Flyers would host the New York Rangers, and in the first period Jespar Fast would score early for the Rangers, but Sean Couturier would score for the Flyers to tie the game. Then in the next forty minutes the Flyers would get a pair of goals from Claude Giroux, and goals from James van Riemsdyk and Kevin Hayes to secure the 5-2 victory for the Flyers. Brett Howden would score the second goal for the Rangers.
Minnesota Wild v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p EST Start Time
In Columbus the Blue Jackets would be blanked by the visiting Minnesota Wild as Joel Eriksson Ek, Jared Spurgeon, Ryan Hartman, Zach Parise, and Kevin Fiala would all score to give the Wild the 5-0 victory.
Colorado Avalanche v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p EST Start Time
In Carolina the Hurricanes would host the Colorado Avalanche, and the Avalanche would score a goal period to defeat the Hurricanes 3-2. Tyson Jost would net a pair of goals and Samuel Girard would net the game winner for the Avalanche, while Teuvo Teravainen would net both goals for the Hurricanes.
Buffalo Sabres v. Vegas Golden Knights – 10p EST Start Time
In Vegas the Buffalo Sabres would come to town to face off with the Golden Knights. In the first period both teams would trade goals as Dominik Kahun would score for the Sabres, but Nicolas Roy would score to tie the game at one for the Knights. Then in the third period Jeff Skinner would score for the Sabres, but goals from William Karlsson and Rielly Smith (two goals) would give the Golden Knights the 4-2 victory.
Pittsburgh Penguins v. Anaheim Ducks – 10p EST Start Time
In Anaheim the Ducks would host the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first 40 minutes the Ducks would swarm the Penguins. In the first period Danton Heinen would score for the Ducks, then in the second period Jason Zucker would tie the game at one, but goals from Ryan Getzlaf and Brendan Guhle would give the Ducks the 3-1 lead. In the third period, Zucker would net his second of the game but the Ducks would hold on to win 3-2.
