Pittsburgh Penguins v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p EST Start Time

In Toronto the Maple Leafs would host the Pittsburgh Penguins, and after a scoreless first period the Leafs would score four unanswered goals as Jake Muzzin, William Nylander, Kasperi Kapanen, and Zach Hyman would all score to give the Maple LEafs the 4-0 victory.

 

San Jose Sharks v. New Jersey Devils – 7p EST Start Time

Scott recaps the New Jersey Devils victory as the defeated the San Jose Sharks in a low scoring affair 2-1.

 

Montreal Canadiens v. Washington Capitals – 7p EST Start Time

In Washington DC, the Capitals would play host to the Montreal Canadiens as Alex Ovechkin looks to reach 700 goals and Brenden Dillon makes his Capitals debut. In the first period Ovechkin would net his 699th career NHL goal to give the Capitals the 1-0 lead, but Shea Weber would strike less than 15 seconds later to tie the game at one. Then in the second period Brendan Gallagher and Lars Eller would trade tallies, and in the third period Ben Chiarot and Tom Wilson would both score to force overtime. In the extra frame Chiarot would net his second of the game to give the Canadiens the 4-3 victory.

 

Philadelphia Flyers v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p EST Start Time

In Columbus the Philadelphia Flyers would come to town to visit the Blue Jackets. In the first period Travis Konecny would score for the Flyers, but goals from Oliver Bjorkstrand and Nick Foligno to give the Jackets the 2-1 lead. Then in the second period Stefan Matteau would score for the Jackets, but goals from Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Claude Giroux would tie the game at three. In overtime it would be Kevin Hayes netting the game winner for the Flyers 4-3 victory.

 

Winnipeg Jets v. Ottawa Senators – 730p EST Start Time

In Ottawa the Senators would host the Winnipeg Jets. In the first period the Senators would get a tally from Nick Pauls, but the Jets would score five straight as Mark Scheifele would net the hat trick and Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers would also score to give the Jets the 5-1 victory.

 

Arizona Coyotes v. St. Louis Blues – 8p EST Start Time

In St. Louis the Blues would get a third period tally from Ryan O’Reilly to defeat the Arizona Coyotes 1-0.

 

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Vegas Golden Knights – 10p EST Start Time

In Vegas the Golden Knights would play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Kevin Shattenkirk would strike for the Lightning, but Alec Martinez would net his first as a Knight to tie the game at one. The in the second period Steven Stamkos would score for the Lightning, but goals from Paul Stastny and Mark Stone would give the Knights the 3-2 lead. The in the Third period Stamkos would net his second of the game, but Ryan Reaves and Max Pacioretty would both net goals to give Vegas the 5-3 victory.

 

Florida Panthers v. Los Angeles Kings – 1030p EST Start Time

In Los Angeles theKings would host the Florida Panthers, and in the first period both teams would trade a pair of goals as Aleksander Barkov would net a pair for the Panthers, and Gabriel Vilardi and Drew Doughty would strike for the Kings. In the second period Jonathan Huberdeau would score for the Panthers, but goals from Trevor Moore and Martin Frk would give the Kings the 4-3 lead, and then in the third period Mike Hoffman would score for the Panthers, but Ben Hutton’s tally would give the Kings the 5-4 victory.
