NHL Three Stars of the Week for Feb. 10th – 16th

Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of February 10th through 16th.

 

First Star – Leon Draisaitl (C, Edmonton Oilers)

  • Draisaitl would lead the League with assists (7) and points (10) in four games played for the Oilers. He would open the week with a four point (1g, 3a) performance against Chicago on Feb. 11th, then Draisaitl would add an assist against Tampa Bay on Feb. 13th. On Feb. 15th against Florida Draisaitl would record a goal and an assist, and to close out the week he would record a goal and two assists against Carolina on Feb. 16th.

Second Star – Andrei Vasilevskiy (G, Tampa Bay Lightning)

  • Vasilevskiy would go a perfect 3-0-0 for the Lightning, and would record a 1.64 goals against average with a .949 save percentage in three games played. Vasilevskiy would start the week with a 35 save performance against Pittsburgh on Feb. 11th, and would follow it with a 29 save performance against Edmonton on Feb. 13. He would end the week with a 30 save victory over Philadelphia on Feb. 15th.

Third Star – Tyler Toffoli (RW, Los Angels Kings)

  • In two games played Toffoli would make history as he would record the first hat trick in NHL outdoor game history on Saturday, Feb. 15th during the Stadium Series game in Colorado. Toffoli would also record a goal against Calgary on Feb. 12th.
