News:

  • The Washington Capitals announced that they have re-assigned defenseman Martin Fehervary to Hershey of the AHL.

 

  • In NHL Injury news it was announced by Ken Holland of the Edmonton Oilers that Connor McDavid will miss 2-3 weeks due to a quad injury, and per Bob McKenzie of TSN Montreal Canadiens defenseman Shea Weber will be missing the Canadiens upcoming road trip, and outside of that information is on lockdown at the moment.

 

  • The Department of Player Safety has announced that they have fined forward Antoine Roussel of the Vancouver Canucks $5000, the maximum under the CBA, for slashing Nashville Predator defenseman Yannick Weber on Monday night.

Detroit Red Wings v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p EST Start Time

In Buffalo the Sabres would play host to the Detroit Red Wings, and in the first two periods both teams would trade goals with each other as Darren Helm would score a pair of goals for the Wings, and the Sabres would get goals from Conor Sheary and Marcus Johansson to keep the game tied. Then in the third period Sam Reinhart would score for the Sabres to take the 3-2 victory.

 

Arizona Coyotes v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p EST Start Time

In Toronto the Maple Leafs would face the Arizona Coyotes, and in the first period Christian Dvorak would open the scoring for the Coyotes, but the Leafs would tie the game at one with a Zach Hyman tally. In the second period Carl Soderberg would retake the lead for Arizona with his 14th of the season. Then in the third period Hyman would net his second of the game to tie the game at two. Then in overtime Jakob Chychrun would strike, but the goal would be disallowed after a review which would give the Leafs the opportunity to win the game with a Kasperi Kapanen tally for the 3-2 victory.

 

Philadelphia Flyers v. New York Islanders – 7p EST Start Time

On Long Island the New York Islanders would host the Philadelphia Flyers, and in the first period the Islanders would swarm the Flyers with goals from Josh Bailey, Matt Martin, and Jordan Eberle to take the 3-0 lead. However, in the second period the Flyers would respond with goals from Travis Konecny and Robert Hagg to bring them within one. Then in the third periodSean Couturier would score to tie the game at three, but goals by Ryan Pulock and Leo Komarov to give the Islanders the 5-3 victory.

 

Florida Panthers v. New Jersey Devils- 7p EST Start Time

In New Jersey the Devils would fall to the Florida Panthers 5-3. The Panthers would get goals from Brett Connolly, Mike Matheson, Mark Pysyk, Frank Vatrano, and Noel Acciari while the Devils would get goals from Jack Hughes, Kevin Rooney, and Kyle Palmieri.

 

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p EST Start Time

In Pittsburgh the Tampa Bay Lightning would come to town to face the Penguins and in the first period Evgeni Malkin would open the scoring while on the powerplay for the Penguins. Then in the second period Mikhail Sergachev would score to tie the game at one for Tampa. Then after a scoreless third period Yanni Gourde would score in overtime to give the Lightning the 2-1 victory.

 

Vegas Golden Knights v. Minnesota Wild – 8p EST Start Time

In Minnesota the Vegas Golden Knights would venture into the Wild, and in the first 40 minutes of the game the Wild would strike with tallies from Joel Eriksson Ek, Jared SPurgeon, Kevin Fiala, and Zach Parise to take the 4-0 victory.

 

New York Rangers v. Winnipeg Jets – 8p EST Start Time

In Winnipeg the Jets would don their heritage jerseys as they faced off with the New York Rangers. In the first two periods Chris Kreider would score a pair of goals to give the Rangers the 2-0 lead. In the third period Nikolaj Ehlers would score for the Jets, but goals from Ryan Strome and Mika Zibanejad would give the Rangers the 4-1 victory.

 

Carolina Hurricanes v. Dallas Stars – 8:30p EST Start Time

In Dallas the Carolina Hurricanes come to town to storm the Stars. In the first period both teams would trade tallies as Jamie Benn would open the scoring for the Stars, and Sebatian Aho would tie the game at one for the Hurricanes. In the second period Denis Gurianov and Benn’s second of the game would give the Stars the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period Benn would complete the hat trick to win the game 4-1 for the Stars.

 

Ottawa Senators v. Colorado Avalanche – 9p EST Start Time

In Colorado the Avalanche would host the Ottawa Senators, and in the first period Mikko Rantanen would strike late in the period to give Colorado the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period Valeri Nichushkin would score on the powerplay, and Gabriel Landeskog would score to give the Avalanche the 3-0 victory.

 

Chicago Blackhawks v. Edmonton Oilers – 9p EST Start Time

In Edmonton the Oilers would face the Chicago Blackhawks, and in the first period both teams would both score a pair of goals as Brandon Saad and Jonathan Toews would score for the Blackhawks, and Riley Sheahan and Kailer Yamamoto would score for the Oilers. Then in the second period Adam Boqvist would score for the Blackhawks, but Yamamoto’s second of the game and tally from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would give the Oilers the 4-3 lead. In the third period Leon Draisaitl would strike to give the Oilers the 5-3 victory.
