  • The New Jersey Devils recalled goaltender Cory Schneider.


  • The Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined defenseman Jacob Trouba of the New York Rangers $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for slashing Vince Dunn of the St. Louis Blues.


  • The New Jersey Devils announced that they have parted ways with General Manager Ray Shero, and that Tom Fitzgerald will take over general manager duties on an interim basis.

Nashville Predators v. Winnipeg Jets – 2p EST Start Time

In Winnipeg, the Jets would host the Nashville Predators, and it would be a first period tally by Kyle Turris to give the Predators the 1-0 victory.


Vancouver Canucks v. Minnesota Wild – 4p EST Start Time

The Minnesota Wild would play host to the Vancouver Canucks, and after a scoreless first period Marcus Foligno would tally for the Wild, but the Canucks would tally three goals as Elias Pettersson (PPG), Bo Horvat, and Troy Stetcher would all score to take the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period Horvat would score his second of the game to give the Canucks the 4-1 victory.


Buffalo Sabres v. Detroit Red Wings – 5p EST Start Time

In Detroit the Buffalo Sabres would come to town to take on the Red Wings. In the first period the Sabres would get a pair of goals from Evan Rodrigues, and a shorthanded tally from Zemgus Girgensons to take the 3-0. Then in the second period Madison Bowey would score for the Wings, but in the third period Zach Bogosian and Rasmus Ristolainen (PPG) would score to secure the Sabres the 5-1 victory.


Pittsburgh Penguins v. Arizona Coyotes – 6p EST Start Time


The Arizona Coyotes would host the red hot Pittsburgh Penguins in a highly contested matchup. In the first period Jared McCann would strike early on the powerplay for the Penguins, but Conor Garland would tie the game with his 15th of the season for the Coyotes. Then in the second period Patric Hornqvist would score on the powerplay for the Penguins, but Taylor Hall would net his tenth of the season to tie the game for the Coyotes. In the third period Derek Stepan would score to give the Coyotes their first lead of the game, but a Brandon Tanev goal would tie the game at three and send the game to overtime. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey we would see Teddy Blueger score the game winning goal in the shootout and secure the 4-3 victory for the Penguins.


Toronto Maple Leafs v. Florida Panthers – 7p EST Start Time

In Florida the Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs would play in a high scoring affair. In the first period it would be all Florida as Josh Brown, Aleksander Barkov, and Mike Hoffman would score to take the 3-0 lead. Then in the second period the Leafs would respond with goals from Zach Hyman, Mitch Marner, and John Tavares, but the Panthers would get goals from Mike Matheson, Frank Vatrano, Vincent Trocheck, and Jonathan Huberdeau to take the 7-3 lead. In the third period Marner would net his second of the game for the Leafs, but Hoffman’s second of the game would give the Panthers the 8-4 victory.


Tampa Bay Lightning v. New Jersey Devils – 7p EST Start Time

Scott recaps the New Jersey Devils 3-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning, which would also end Tampa’s 10 game winning streak.
