San Jose Sharks v. Washington Capitals – 1230p EST Start Time
The Washington Capitals would mount the comeback as Lars Eller would score in overtime to cap off the 5-4 victory over the San Jose Sharks.
Florida Panthers v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 5p EST Start Time
In Pittsburgh the Penguins would play host to the Florida Panthers. In the first period Jared McCann would score for the Penguins, but goals from Frank Vatrano and Brett Connolly would give the Panthers the 2-1 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Mike Hoffman and Evgenii Dadonov would score to secure the 4-1 victory for the PAnthers.
Tampa Bay Lightning v. Carolina Hurricanes – 5p EST Start Time
In Carolina the Tampa Bay Lightning would come to town to face the Hurricanes. In the first period the Lightning would get goals from Mitchell Stephens and Steven Stamkos for the 2-0 lead. Then in the second period Brayden Point would strike to grow the Lightning’s lead to three. Andrei Svechnikov would score for the Hurricanes in the third period, but it would not be enough as the Lightning would hold on to win 3-1.
Calgary Flames v. Minnesota Wild – 7p EST Start Time
In Minnesota the Wild would host the Calgary Flames in a game that would feature a seven round shootout. In the first period Milan Lucic (PPG) and Travis Hamonic would score for the Flames, but Kevin Fiala would score, and Marcus Foligno would score a pair of goals to give the Wild the 3-2 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Jordan Greenway would score for the Wild, but goals from Michael Stone and Mark Giordano (PPG) would tie the game for the Flames and send the game to overtime. After a scoreless overtime period the game would require a seven round shootout that would see Dillon Dube score the winner for the Flames to take the 5-4 victory.
Detroit Red Wings v. Chicago Blackhawks – 730p EST Start Time
In Chicago we would see an Original Six matchup between the Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings. In the first period the Wings would strike with goals from Filip Zadina (PPG) and Luke Glendening to take the 2-0 lead. However in the second period Dylan Strome and Dylan Sikura would score, and in the third period Adam Boqvist and Dominik Kubalik would strike to give the Blackhawks the 4-2 victory.
Nashville Predators v. Anaheim Ducks – 10p EST Start Time
In the final game of the day the Anaheim Ducks would host the Nashville Predators. In the first team both teams would trade goals as Adam Henrique would start the scoring for the Ducks, but Austin Watson would strike for the Predators to tie the game. Then in the second period Craig Smith would score on the powerplay for the Predators, but goals from Cam Fowler, Daniel Sprong (PPG), and Henrique’s second of the game would give the Ducks the 4-2 lead. In the third period Craig Smith would score his second of the game, and Rocco Grimaldi would score to tie the game at four for the Predators to force overtime. After a scoreless overtime period, Ryan Getzlaf would score the game winner in the shootout to give the Ducks the 5-4 victory
