NWHL Announces Boston for the 2020 All Star Weekend

Today the National Women’s Hockey League has announced that the 2020 All Star Weekend will take place in Boston, home of the Pride of the league’s Founding Four, and will take place on Saturday, Feb. 8th and Sunday, Feb. 9th, 2020 at Warrior Ice Arena.

 

On February 8th at 8pm EST the NWHL All Star Skills Challenge will take place, and will feature events like Fastest Skater and Hardest Shot. Then on Feb. 9th the 2020 All Star Game will take place as both teams will feature 14 skaters and two goaltenders each as they play in two 25 minute periods of 4 on 4 hockey.

 

Commissioner Dani Rylan has selected the first eight All Stars, and they were selected in honor of their extraordinary efforts to growing the game of women’s hockey. The following players have been selected to participate in the 2020 NWHL All Star Game (sorted by team):

For the captains for the two teams, Rylan has selected the number one and two all time scorers in the NWHL to serve as captains.

All eight players selected to be a part of the 2020 All Star weekend are all original NWHLers who have been a part of the league since day one.

 

Tickets for the 2020 NWHL All Star Weekend will go on sale this upcoming Monday, December 23rd at 11am EST at NWHL.zone/allstar.
