Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of November 25th through December 1st.
First Star – Nathan MacKinnon (C, Colorado Avalanche)
- MacKinnon would power the Avalanche to a perfect week as he would top the NHL with three goals and six assists for nine points. On Nov. 27th versus the Edmonton Oilers, MacKinnon would tally a goal and an assist. Then on Nov. 29th against Chicago he would recard a goal and three assists for his eighth career four point game, and would victimize Chicago again on Nov. 30th as he would record another goal and two assists.
Second Star – David Rittich (G, Calgary Flames)
- Rittich would stop 95 out of 101 shots faced in the three games played this past week for the Flames. In his three games Rittich would also go 2-0-1 for a 1.94 GAA and a .941 save percentage. Rittich would make 35 saves on Nov. 25th against Pittsburgh, then on Nov. 27th against Buffalo he would stop 34 shots. Finally on Nov. 30th against Ottawa Rittich would stop 26 for his second victory of the week.
Third Star – Martin Jones (G, San Jose Sharks)
- Jones would go a perfect 3-0-0 for the Sharks that saw him record a 1.98 GAA and .935 save percentage. On Nov. 25th he would make 33 saves against Los Angeles, and then on Nov. 29th Jones would defeat Loss Angeles again with another 33 save performance. Then on Nov. 30th against Arizona Jones would record 21 saves to end his perfect week.
