Today the Washington Capitals announced their 2019-20 Opening Night roster as they prepare to take on the St. Louis Blues tonight in St. Louis. However, the Capitals made an another announcement before they did unveil their official roster.
The Capitals officially announced that they have placed goaltender Pheonix Copley on waivers. This, as we have stated before, is an obvious choice for the Capitals as they still need to shed salary so they can be under the cap after Evgeny Kuznetsov’s suspension is completed.
After making the Copley announcement the Capitals would unveil their roster.
