Today in the NWHL the Minnesota Whitecaps bolstered their defence with a new signing for the 2019-20 season.
The Whitecaps announced that they have signed defender Sydney Baldwin to a one year deal.
Baldwin, a 2018 Kazmaier Award Finalist, joins the Whitecaps for her first season in the NWHL. Balwin spent her collegiate career with the University of Minnesota where she helped lead the Golden Gophers to the NCAA National Championship in her freshman and sophmore years. During her senior season Baldwin recorded 12 goals with 20 assists for 32 points, and she also led the nation with 104 blocked shots.
All players will partake in the 50 percent cut of revenue from league sponsorship and media deals. Plus they will also receive 15 percent of revenue from apparel sold with their name on it.
