Today on TXHT Jersey Share we take a look at the jersey we never thought would ever be shipped by the NHL Shop, the Washington Capitals 2011 Winter Classic John Erskine jersey.
So as previously talked about two entries earlier, this is the jersey I originally ordered through the NHL Shop that took FOREVER to ship, to the point that I went and bought another jersey from my local Modell’s only to then have it shipped to me. This is why I order through Cool Hockey only now for jerseys.
For this jersey I really wanted Erskine because he was, and still is, one of my favorite Capitals players, and at the Winter Classic had one of the greatest moments when he fought Pittsburgh Penguins forward Michael Rupp. I also have a photo of Erskine fighting Rupp on my wall autographed by Erskine.
