PP                 0/1                   0/0

Analysis:

Leafs came out flying with pure speed. Trevor Moore’s first NHL goal with some end to end speed made it 2-0 and capped off what was a brilliant opening period. Michael Hutchinson looks like he came ready tonight giving the Leafs confidence.

Need to Do:

Keep being hard on the forecheck attack the young defence

Second Period:

Leafs Penalty– 16:02– Jake Gardiner, 2 minutes for Tripping

End of 2nd – VAN – 0         TOR – 2

PP                 0/2                    0/0

Analysis:

No scoring in the 2nd period but not for lack of chances on the Leafs part. The Canucks defence looks like they are struggling with the Leafs speed.

Need to Do:

Tighten up the defensive end and continue the hard forecheck.

Leafs Goal – 11:55 – Andreas Johnsson (9) assisted by Auston Matthews (18)

Hits               26                     21

PP                 0/3                 0/0

Analysis:

Leafs came to play tonight in all ends of the ice. This is one of the better complete game efforts from the Leafs this season.
