Also in this contest, Islanders Anthony Beauvillier had his first career hat trick. Beauvillier recorded the fourth hat-trick for a player aged 22 or younger on the season.
New Jersey Devils G Keith Kinkaid recorded his seventh career shutout and moved to 7-2-0 against the Philadelphia Flyers on his career.
Tampa Bay’s Brayden Point registered three goals in 1:31, over the first and second periods, and became the 6th fastest player to achieve this mark.
Columbus earned their six consecutive win over the Florida Panthers and extended their point streak to 12 games with the win over the Panthers.
Florida Panthers Mike Hoffman extended his point-scoring streak to a franchise high of 14 games and remains the highest on the season thus far.
Ottawa rookie Drake Batherson scored his first goal in his first NHL game.
He joins Max Lajoie as the sixth Senator to record their first goal in their NHL debut.
The Minnesota Wild’s Mikko Koivu extended his point streak since November 6th with 10 points in the win over the Vancouver Canucks.
In addition, the Minnesota Wild’s defenceman rank in a tie for first place in goals with 17 and in sixth place with 45 points.
The Montreal Canadiens Max Domi scored to extend his point-streak to eight contests, the longest for a newcomer to the Canadiens roster.
Calgary had the advantage on virtually every side of the stat sheet, minus the one goal deficit.
The Arizona Coyotes registered their 10th shorthanded goal in 18 games with their one goal win over the Nashville Predators.
Arizona’s Michael Grabner netted his fourth shorthanded goal in the contest and became the 17th player to reach this mark.
Toronto Maple Leafs F John Tavares extended his point-streak to seven contests and is tied with three others for the most since the 1993-94 season.

The Los Angeles Kings re-introduced their silver thirds that were worn for their 50th anniversary season with the only difference being that the gold trim is being replaced with a silver trim.
The Washington Capitals re-called Ilya Samsonov from Hershey and re-assigned Jonas Siegenthaler to Hershey in a corresponding move earlier today.
The Washington Capitals also announced that F Evgeny Kuznetsov, F T.J. Oshie, and G Braden Holtby will not play tonight in the Capitals contest against the Colorado Avalanche.
The Colorado Avalanche will hold their Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness night tonight and hold ceremonies during the contest against the Washington Capitals.
The NWHL returns to action this weekend with three contests.
This week’s NWHL Twitter Game of the Week is Sunday and pits the Metropolitan Riveters against the Connecticut Whale.
