The Buffalo Sabres would win on an overtime goal by Rasmus Ristolainen, the fourth in franchise history in regular-season play by a defenceman.

Vegas 5, OTTAWA 3

Vegas’ fourth line would power the team through a hard-fought win over the Ottawa Senators and earn the season-sweep.

TAMPA BAY 4, NY Islanders 2

The Tampa Bay Lightning for the second straight season have 25 points through 16 games or less with the win over the Islanders last night.

DALLAS 4, San Jose 3

San Jose’s Brent Burns became the fourth member in team history to record at least 20 points in 16 or fewer team games last night.
