Top Questions Facing the Riveters:

  1. Can the Metropolitan Riveters repeat Isobel Cup Champions?

The most common question asked when it concerns a four team league, but this season will be the NWHL’s first season with five teams so one can expect the dynamic can change going into this season. Can the Riveters build upon last season and with the addition of Amanda Kessel win another championship.

2. What impact will Amanda Kessel have this season?

With key players Ashley Johnston retired and Tatiana Rafter going to Russia, the Riveters were able to re-sign Amanda Kessel after not having her last season so she could play for the 2018 US Women’s Ice Hockey Olympic Team. During the 2016-17 season Kessel had 4 goal, 14 assists fot 18 points. She will be relied on to bring the offense, and wanting to prove that she is the better Kessel.
