Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Toronto Maple Leafs v. New York Islanders – 645p ET

  • In Long Island, the Islanders hosted the Maple Leafs and in the first New York took the 1-0 lead when Brayden Schenn netted his 18th of the year and then Jean-Gabriel Pageau netted his 17th to put the Isles up 2-0.  Toronto then got on the board when Steven Lorentz got his seventh of the year.  In the second, Easton Cowan netted his 11th of the year with a power play goal but then New York re-took the lead when Matthew Schaefer scored his 23rd of the year.  Emil Heineman then scored a power play goal, his 22nd goal of the year to put the Isles up 4-2.  In the third, Calum Ritchie scored a power play goal, his 13th goal of the year to put New York up 5-2 but then Morgan Rielly netted his 11th of the year for Toronto.  However, the Islanders held on to defeat the Maple Leafs 5-3.

 

Columbus Blue Jackets v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET

  • In Buffalo, the Sabres hosted the Blue Jackets and in the first Buffalo took the 1-0 lead with Peyton Krebs 12th of the year.  After a scoreless second, Josh Doan scored his 24th as Buffalo took the 2-0 lead and then Jack Quinn scored his 20th of the year as the Sabres went up 3-0.  Josh Doan then scored his second of the night to put Buffalo up 4-0 and then Rasmus Dahlin hit the empty net with his 19th as the Sabres got the 5-0 shutout over the Blue Jackets.

 

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Montréal Canadiens – 7p ET

  • In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Lightning and following the scoreless first, the Habs took the 1-0 lead when Cole Caufield scored his 50th of the year.  In the third, Tampa Bay tied the game when Darren Raddysh netted his 22nd of the year but then Juraj Slafkovský scored his 30th of the year to give the Canadiens the 2-1 win over the Lightning. 

 

Florida Panthers v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET

  • In Ottawa, the Senators hosted the Panthers and in the first Ottawa took the 1-0 lead with a power play goal from Drake Batherson, his 32nd goal of the year, and then Fabian Zetterlund netted his 15th to put the Sens up 2-0.  After a scoreless second, Ottawa went up 3-0 as Artem Zub scored his fifth of the year but then Florida got on the board when Jesper Boqvist scored his fourth of the year.  Then, Claude Giroux hit the empty net with his 14th of the year to put Ottawa up 4-1 and then Fabian Zetterlund netted his second of the night as the Senators downed the Panthers 5-1.

 

Philadelphia Flyers v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET

  • In Detroit, the Red Wings hosted the Flyers and in the first Detroit took the 1-0 lead when Alex DeBrincat scored a power play goal, his 40th goal on the year but then Philadelphia tied the game when Christian Dvorak netted his 18th of the year.  In the second, Detroit took the 2-1 lead with a power play goal from Mortiz Seider, his 10th of the year and then Dylan Larkin got a pair of power play goals, one being on a Red Wings power play and the other a shorthanded tally, to put Detroit up 4-1.  Philly’s Porter Martone then netted a power play goal of his own to cut the lead to two.  In the third, Patrick Kane scored his 16th of the year to put Detroit back up three and then Dylan Larkin completed the hat trick as the Red Wings went up 6-2.  Luke Glendening then scored his second of the year late in the third for Philadelphia but the Red Wings held on as the Red Wings defeated the Flyers 6-3.

 

Pittsburgh Penguins v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET

  • In New Jersey, the Devils hosted the Penguins and in the first Pittsburgh went up 1-0 when Bryan Rust scored his 29th of the year.  In the second, New jersey tied the game when Paul Cotter netted his ninth of the year and then Thomas Novak scored his 16th of the year as the Penguins took the 2-1 lead.  Then, Egor Chinakov got his 21st of the year as the Pens went up 3-1 but then Jack Hughes scored his 26th of the year to bring the Devils within a goal.  In the third, Evgeni Malkin then scored his 19th of the year to put Pittsburgh back up two and then Erik Karlsson scored an empty netter, his 15th goal of the year, as the Penguins defeated the Devils 5-2 and clinch their spot in the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs.

 

Winnipeg Jets v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET

  • In St. Louis, the Blues hosted the Jets and in the first, St. Louis took the 1-0 lead with Dylan Holloway’s 20th of the year on the power play but then Winnipeg tied the game when Alex Iafallo scored his 13th of the year.  In the second, Winnipeg took the 2-1 lead when Josh Morrissey netted his 14th of the year and then Jonathan Toews put the Jets up two with his 11th of the year.  In the third, Colton Parayko scored his third but it would not be enough as the Jets held on to defeat the Blues 3-2.

 

Carolina Hurricanes v. Chicago Blackhawks – 830p ET

  • In Chicago, the Blackhawks hosted the Hurricanes and in the first Carolina took the 1-0 lead when Sean Walker netted his eighth of the year but then Chicago tied the game when Anton Frondell scored his second of the year.  Then, the Canes re-took the lead when Logan Stankoven got his 20th of the year.  In the second, Carolina went up two when Logan Stankoven netted his second of the game and then it became a 4-1 Carolina lead when Mark Jankowski netted his ninth of the year.  In the third, K’Andre Miller got his eighth of the year to put the Canes up 5-1 but then Anton Frondell scored his second of the game to cut the Carolina lead to three.  Taylor Hall then scored his 18th of the year to Carolina back up four and then Mark Jankowski scored his second of the contest as the Hurricanes stromed past the Blackhawks 7-2.
