- The National Hockey League announced the Three Stars of the Week.
- The First Star was awarded to Pittsburgh Penguins F Rickard Rakell. Rakell had seven goals and one assist in the five games he played
- The Second Star was awarded to New Jersey Devils C Jack Hughes. Hughes recorded three goals and six assists in the four games that he played.
- Finally, the Third Star was awarded to St. Louis Blues C Robert Thomas. Thomas had five goals and three assists in four appearances.
- The NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced that Florida Panthers F Eetu Luostarinen was fined $5,000 for high-sticking Pittsburgh Penguins F Rickard Rakell in Sunday’s contest.
- The fine is the maximum allowable under the NHL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- The money from the fine will be placed in the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
- The PWHL announced that New York Sirens F Sarah Fillier was named the PWHL Player of the Week.
- Fillier had four goals that included a overtime game-winning goal, in a comeback win against the Minnesota Frost.
- The Washington Capitals re-called F Ilya Protas from the Hershey Bears. Protas currently leads all AHL rookies in points and is also sixth amongst all skaters in points on the season.
- The New Jersey Devils announced that Tom Fitzgerald has been relieved of his duties as General Manager. Fitzgerald had been a part of the organization since Janaury 2020 and as the General Manager since January 23, 2024.

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
- In Buffalo, the Sabres hosted the Lightning and in the first Alex Tuch netted his 30th of the year to put Buffalo up 1-0 but then Tampa Bay tied the game with Nikita Kucherov’s 43rd of the year on the power play. Then, Josh Norris scored his 11th of the year as Buffalo re-took the lead. In the second, Tampa tied the game once more with Jake Guentzel’s 37th of the year but then Buffalo took the lead once more when Jason Zucker scored his 23rd of the year. In the third, Jack Quinn hit the empty net as the Sabres doubled up the Lightning 4-2.

Seattle Kraken v. Winnipeg Jets – 730p ET
- In Winnipeg, the Jets hosted the Kraken and in the first Seattle took the 1-0 lead when Jordan Eberle scored his 25th of the year but then Winnipeg got on the board when Jonathan Toews netted a power play goal, his 10th goal of the year. In the second, Winnipeg took the lead with a power play goal from Gabriel Vilardi, his 29th score of the year and then the Jets went up 3-1 when Kyle Connor also netted a power play goal, his 37th score of the year. In the third, Jared McCann netted his 19th of the year to bring Seattle within a goal but then Winnipeg re-took the two goal lead when Brad Lambert netted his third of the year. Then, Kyle Connor netted his second to put the Jets up three and then Vladislav Namestinkov scored on an empty net, his eighth goal to give the Jets the 6-2 win over the Kraken.
