    • The Islanders would also announced that they have hired Pete DeBoer as their new head coach.
    • The coaching change was made with 4 games left in the regular season.

Minnesota Wild v. Detroit Red Wings – 1p ET

  • In Detroit, the Red Wings would look to bounce back as they host the Minnesota Wild, and in the first period, Albert Johansson would score to give the Wings the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Matt Boldy and Vladimir Tarasenko would score while Kirill Kaprizov would score a pair of goals to give the Wild the 4-1 lead. Then in the third period, Axel Andin-Pellikka, J.T. Compher, and Patrick Kane would score to tie the game at 4 for the Wings, but Kaprizov would score on the powerplay to complete the hat trick and give the Wild the 5-4 victory over the Red Wings.

Florida Panthers v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 3p ET

  • In Pittsburgh, the Penguins would play host to the Florida Panthers for the second consecutive night, and in the first period, Elmer Soderblom would score for the Penguins while Cole Schwindt would score for the Panthers for the 1-1 tie, but goals from Sidney Crosby and Rickard Rakell (PPG) would give the Penguins the 3-1 lead. In the second period, Rakell would net his second of the game to grow the Penguins lead to three. Then in the third period, Carter Verhaeghe would score on the powerplay late in the period for the Panthers, but Bryan Rust’s goal earlier in the period would give the Penguins the 5-2 victory over the Panthers.

Boston Bruins v. Philadelphia Flyers – 330p ET

  • In Philadelphia, the Flyers would look to keep their playoff hopes alive as they host the Boston Bruins, and in the first period, Christian Dvorak would score to give the Flyers the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period, Pavel Zacha would score on the powerplay to tie the game at one and force overtime for the Bruins. In the extra frame, Porter Martone would score on the powerplay for his first career NHL goal and give the Flyers the 2-1 overtime victory over the Bruins.

Carolina Hurricanes v. Ottawa Senators – 5p ET

  • In Ottawa, the Senators look to also bounce back from Saturday’s loss as they host the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period, Logan Stankoven would open the scoring with a powerplay goal for the Hurricanes, but goals from Dylan Cozens (PPG) and Tim Stutzle would give Ottawa the 2-1 lead. However, Andrei Svechnikov would score to tie the game for the Hurricanes at two. In the second period, Brady Tkachuk would score to give the Senators the 3-2 lead. then in the third period, Taylor Hall would score for the Hurricanes, Shane Pinto would score on the powerplay, Tkachuk would net his second of the game, and Claude Giroux would score an empty netter to give the Senators the 6-3 victory over the Hurricanes.

New Jersey Devils v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET

  • In Montreal, the New Jersey Devils would come to town to battle the Canadiens, and in the first period, Timo Meier would score to give the Devils the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Cody Glass would score to grow the Devils lead to 2. Then in the third period, Connor Brown would score the empty netter to give the Devils the 3-0 victory over the Canadiens. Jacob Markstrom would stop all 18 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Devils.

Washington Capitals v. New York Rangers – 7p ET

  • At Madison Square Garden, the Washington Capitals would come to the Big Apple to battle the New York Rangers in an effort to keep their playoff hopes alive, and in the first period, Conor Sheary would score 23 seconds into the game for the Rangers, but Connor McMichael would score to tie the game at one for the Capitals. In the second period, the wheels would fall off for the Capitals as J.T. Miller would score on the powerplay, Will Cuylle would score a pair of goals, Adam Sykora would score and Adam Fox would strike on the powerplay to give the Rangers the commanding 6-1 lead. Then in the third period, Vincent Trocheck would score and Cuylle would score to complete the hat trick to give the Rangers the 8-1 victory over the Capitals.
