    • Nill signed a two year extension to remain with the Stars.

Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Dallas Stars v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET

  • In Boston, the Bruins would play host to the Dallas Stars as they look to maintain their positioning in the Wild Card in the East, and in the first period, Marat Khusnutdinov would score his 15th of the season and Viktor Arvidsson would score to give the Bruins the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Jamie Benn and Matt Duchene would score for the Stars to tie the game at two. Then in the third period, Elias Lindholm (PPG), Henri Jokiharju, and Arvidsson (ENG) would score to give the Bruins the 5-2 lead, but Wyatt Johnston would strike on the powerplay for the Stars. However, Lindholm’s second empty netter and third goal of the game would give the Bruins the 6-3 victory over the Stars.

New York Islanders v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET

  • In Buffalo, the Sabres would play host to the New York Islanders, and in the first period, Jack Quinn would score on the powerplay to give the Sabres the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Calum Ritchie would score on the powerplay to tie the game at one for the Islanders. Then in the third period, while the Islanders would get goals from Anders Lee and Brayden Schenn, the Sabres would get goals from Tage Thompson (PPG), Peyton Krebs, and Bowen Byram (ENG) to give them the 4-3 victory over the Islanders.

Montreal Canadiens v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET

  • In Tampa Bay, the Montreal Canadiens would come to town to battle the Lightning, and in the first period, Juraj Slafkovsky would score on the powerplay for the Canadiens while Jake Guentzel would score for the Lightning for the 1-1 tie. In the second period, Cole Caufield would score his 47th of the season to give the Canadiens the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Mike Matheson and Nick Suzuki would both score empty netters to give the Canadiens the 4-1 victory over the Lightning.

Ottawa Senators v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET

  • Meanwhile, in Sunrise, FL, the Florida Panthers would play host to the Ottawa Senators, and int he first period, goals from Noah Gregor, Mackie Samoskevich, A.J. Greer, and a pair of goals from Carter Verhaeghe would give the Panthers a dominating 5-0 lead. In the second period, Drake Batherson would score his 30th of the season for the Senators to get them on the board and Jordan Spence would score for the Senators, but a Matthew Tkachuk tally would give the Panthers the 6-2 lead going into the second intermission. Then in the third period, Michael Amadio would score his 10th of the season for the Senators, but the Panthers would go on to defeat the Senators 6-3.

New Jersey Devils v. New York Rangers – 7p ET

  • At Madison Square Garden, things would get spicy as the New York Rangers hosted the New Jersey Devils, and in the first period, Conor Sheary and J.T. Miller (PPG) would score to give the Rangers the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Connor Brown would score on the powerplay to get the Devils on the board and back within one, but Jaroslav Chmelar would score to give the Rangers the two goal lead. Then in the third period, things got heated as we would see Jacob Markstrom and Igor Shesterkin drop the goals in a goalie fight, and Mika Zibanejad would score to give the Rangers the 4-1 victory over the Devils.

Detroit Red Wings v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET

  • In Pittsburgh, the Penguins would return to full health as they host the Detroit Red Wings, and in the first period, Rickard Rakell would net his 20th of the season, Anthony Mantha would score his 30th of the season, and Egor Chinakhov would score to give the Penguins the 3-0 lead. In the second period, Dylan Larkin would score his 30th of the season while on the powerplay for the Wings, but Justin Brazeau would score to keep the Penguins ahead by three. Then in the third period, Noel Acciari would score to give the Penguins the 5-1 victory over the Red Wings.

Philadelphia Flyers v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET

  • In Washington, it would be a high scoring affair as the Capitals played host to the Philadelphia Flyers, and in the first period, Tom Wilson and Alex Ovechkin would both score to give the Capitals the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Travis Sanheim and Carl Grundstrom would score for the Flyers to tie the game at two, but powerplay goals from Jakob Chychrun and Ryan Leonard would reclaim the two goal lead for the Capitals. Then in the third period, Christian Dvorak and Denver Barkey would score for the Flyers, but both Ovechkin and Wilson (ENG) would net their second goals of the game to give the Capitals the 6-4 victory over the Flyers.

Carolina Hurricanes v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 730p ET

  • In Columbus for a Metropolitan Division matchup, the Blue Jackets would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period, Shayne Gostisbehere and Logan Stankoven would both score on the powerplay to give the Hurricanes the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Kirill Marchenko would score for the Jackets to get on the board and back within one. Then in the third period, Adam Fantilli would score to tie the game at two for the Jackets, but goals from Nikolaj Ehlers, Andrei Svechnikov (PPG), and Jordan Martinook (SHENG) would give the Hurricanes the 5-2 victory over the Blue Jackets.

Winnipeg Jets v. Chicago Blackhawks – 830p ET

  • In Chicago, the Winnipeg Jets would come to town to battle the Blackhawks, and in the first period, Anton Frondell would score his first career NHL goal to give the Blackhawks the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Josh Morrissey, Cole Perfetti (PPG), and Isak Rosen would score to give the Jets the 3-1 lead, but Tyler Bertuzzi would score to get the Blackhawks back within one. Then in the third period, Bertuzzi would net his second of the game to tie the game at three for the Blackhawks to force overtime. In the extra frame, Kyle Connor would score to give the Jets the 4-3 overtime victory over the Blackhawks.
