Jersey Tracking and Mini Recaps

Detroit Red Wings v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET

  • In Buffalo, the Sabres would play host to the Detroit Red Wings as both teams look to the playoffs, and in the first period, Alex DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond would both score powerplay goals, and Marco Kasper would score to give the Wings the 3-0 lead. In the second period, Tage Thompson would score for the Sabres to get on the board and cut their deficit to 2. Then in the third period, Jacob Bernard-Docker would score his first of the season and as a Red Wing to retake the 3 goal lead, but Rasmus Dahlin would score for the Sabres to keep them in the game. However, an empty netter from Patrick Kane would give the Red Wings the 5-2 victory over the Sabres.

Chicago Blackhawks v. New York Rangers – 7p ET

  • At Madison Square Garden for an Original Six matchup, the Chicago Blackhawks would visit the New York Rangers, and in the first period, Nick Lardis would score for the Blackhawks while J.T. Miller would score for the Rangers for the 1-1 tie. In the second period, Matthew Robertson would score, Adam Sykora would score his first career NHL goal, and Jonny Brodzinski would score to give the Rangers the 4-1 lead. Then in the third period, Alexis Lafreniere would score on the powerplay and Brodzinski would score his second of the game to give the Rangers the dominate 6-1 victory over the Blackhawks.

Boston Fleet v. Toronto Sceptres – 7p ET

  • In Toronto for PWHL action, the Sceptres would play host to the Boston Fleet, and in the first period, Liz Schepers would score to give the Fleet the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Schepers would score her second of the game and Jessie Eldridge would score her first as a member of the Fleet to give them the 3-0 lead. Then in the third period, Sophie Shirley would score her first of the season to give the Fleet the 4-0 victory over the Sceptres. Aerin Frankel would stop all 18 shots faced to earn her third consecutive shutout and 7th shutout of the season for the Fleet.
