News
- The NHL announced that they have fined Anaheim Ducks forward Beckett Sennecke.
- Sennecke was fined $2,000 for NHL Rule 64 (Diving/Embellishment).
- Sennecke was issued a Warning following an incident flagged by NHL Hockey Operations during NHL Game No. 1006 vs. St. Louis on March 8. His second Citation, which triggered the $2,000 fine, was issued for an incident at 4:34 of the third period during NHL Game No. 1059 at Montreal on March 15. Sennecke (embellishment) and Montreal forward Josh Anderson (holding) received offsetting minor penalties on the play.
- The PWHL announced that they have fined Ottawa Charge forward Rebecca Leslie.
- Following a review by the PWHL Player Safety Committee, Leslie was fined $500.
- The incident reviewed was a minor penalty for boarding assessed to Leslie at 17:16 of the third period during Sunday’s game against the Montréal Victoire.
- In their review, the PWHL Player Safety Committee determined that Leslie pushed opponent Amanda Boulier into the boards while she was in a vulnerable position, and with sufficient force to warrant supplemental discipline.
- This is the second time that Leslie has been assessed a fine in her 73-game PWHL career. During the inaugural season as a member of Toronto, she was fined $250 for grabbing the facemask of an opposing Montréal player during an altercation in the game played on Mar. 8, 2024.

Vancouver Goldeneyes v. Boston Fleet – 7p ET (PWHL)
- In Boston for PWHL action, the Fleet would play host to the Vancouver Goldeneyes, and after a scoreless first period, Laura Kluge would score her first career PWHL goal to give the Fleet the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Susanna Tapani would score the empty netter for her 8th of the season to give the Fleet the 2-0 lead over the Goldeneyes. Aerin Frankel would stop all 35 shots faced to earn the shutout for the Fleet.

Toronto Maple Leafs v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
- Also in Boston for an Original Six matchup, the Toronto Maple Leafs would come to town to battle the Bruins, and in the first period, Elias Lindholm would score for the Bruins to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Matthew Knies would score shorthanded and Max Domi would score on the powerplay to give the Leafs the 2-1 lead. Theni n the third period, William Nylander would score to grow the Leafs lead to two, but Charlie McAvoy’s powerplay goal would get the Bruins back within one. However, Knies’s second of the game while on the powerplay, and as an empty netter, would give the Maple Leafs the 4-2 victory over the Bruins.
Carolina Hurricanes v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montreal, the Canadiens would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period, Nikolaj Ehlers (PPG) and Jordan Staal would score to give the Hurricanes the 2-0 lead, but Oliver Kapanen would score to get the Canadiens on the board and back within one. In the second period, Cole Caufield and Juraj Slafkovsky would score to give the Canadiens the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, Ivan Demidov and Jake Evans (ENG) would score to give the Canadiens the 5-2 victory over the Hurricanes.
Ottawa Senators v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
- In Detroit, the Ottawa Senators would come to town for a battle against the Red Wings in an Atlantic Division matchup, and in the first period, Brady Tkachuk would score on the powerplay to give the Senators the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Carter Yakemchuk scored his first career NHL goal in his NHL debut and Lars Eller would score to give the Senators the 3-0 lead, but Dominik Shine would score to get the Wings on the board. Then in the third period, Dylan Larkin would score on the powerplay for the Wings, but it would not be enough as the Senators would hold on to defeat the Red Wings 3-2.
Seattle Kraken v. Florida Panthers – 7p ET
- In Florida, Paul Maurice would coach in his 2,000th NHL game as the Panthers played host to the Seattle Kraken, and after a scoreless first period, Nolan Foote would score his first as a Panther to give them the 1-0 lead. In the third period, Eetu Luostarinen and Carter Verhaeghe would score for the Panthers to take a 3-0 lead, but Ryker Evans would score for the Kraken to get them on the board. Later in the period, Noah Gregor would be the benefactor of an own goal to reclaim the three goal lead for the Panthers, but goals from Matty Beniers, Jordan Eberle, and Bobby McMann would tie the game at 4 for the Kraken to force overtime. After a scoreless extra five minutes of hockey, Vinnie Hinostroza would score the shootout winner to give the Panthers the 5-4 victory over the Kraken.
Chicago Blackhawks v. New York Islanders – 7p ET
- On Long Island, the New York Islanders would play host to the Chicago Blackhawks, and in the first period, Anders Lee would score to get the Islanders on the board first, but goals from Nick Lardis, Ilya Mikheyev, and Tyler Bertuzzi would give the Blackhawks the 3-1 lead. In the second period, Frank Nazar would score to give the Blackhawks the three goal lead. Then in the third period, Simon Holmstrom and Calum Ritchie would score to get the Islanders back within one, but the Blackhawks would hold on to defeat the Islanders 4-3.
Columbus Blue Jackets v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET
- In Philadelphia, the Flyers would host the Columbus Blue Jackets for a Metropolitan Division matchup, and in the first period, Sean Couturier would score to give the Flyers the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Mathieu Olivier and Zach Werenski would score to give the Jackets the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period, Jamie Drysdale would score late in the period for the Flyers, but a goal by Mason Marchment earlier in the period would give the Blue Jackets the eventual 3-2 victory over the Flyers.
Colorado Avalanche v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
- In Pittsburgh, the Colorado Avalanche would continue their road trip with a matchup against the Penguins, and in the first period, Nathan MacKinnon would score for the Avalanche while Egor Chinakhov would score for the Penguins for the 1-1 tie. However, goals from Sam Malinski, Martin Necas (PPG), and Parker Kelly would give the Avalanche the 4-1 lead. In the second period, Necas would net his second of the game for the Avalanche to take the commanding 5-1 lead. Then in the third period, Rickard Rakell would score for the Penguins, but Ross Colton’s empty netter would give the Avalanche the 6-2 victory over the Penguins.
Minnesota Wild v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 730p ET
- In Tampa Bay, the Minnesota Wild would come to town to battle the Lightning, and in the first period, Mats Zuccarello and Brock Faber would both score the powerplay to give the Wild the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Vladimir Tarasenko would score fort he Wild, but goals from Brayden Point (PPG), Jake Guentzel, and Darren Raddysh (PPG) would tie the game at three for the Lightning. Then in the third period, Erik Cernak would score and both Brandon Hagel and Pontus Holmberg would score empty netters to give the Lightning the 6-3 victory over the Wild.
Washington Capitals v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
- In St. Louis, the Washington Capitals would begin their three game road trip against the Blues, and after a scoreless first period, Jimmy Snuggerud would score to give the Blues the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Otto Stenberg and Jordan Kyrou (ENG) would score to give the Blues the 3-0 victory over the Capitals. Joel Hofer would stop all 21 shots faced to earn his 6th shutout of the season for the Blues.
San Jose Sharks v. Nashville Predators – 8p ET
- In Nashville, the Predators would play host to the San Jose Sharks, and in the first period, Adam Gaudette would score his 15th of the season for the Sharks, but goals from Filip Forsberg, Matthew Wood, Roman Josi, Luke Evangelista, and Brady Skjei would give the Predators the 5-1 lead. In the second period, Steven Stamkos would strike on the powerplay fir his 35th of the season to grow the Predators lead to five, but Will Smith would score his 20th of the season while on the powerplay for the Sharks. Then in the third period, Smith would score his second of the game, but the Predators would go on to defeat the Sharks 6-3.
New Jersey Devils v. Dallas Stars – 8p ET
- In Dallas, the Stars would play host to the New Jersey Devils, and in the first period, Wyatt Johnston would score for the Stars, but a pair of goals from Jack Hughes and tallies from Jesper Bratt and Connor Brown would give the Devils the 4-1 lead. In the second period, Johnston would net his second of the game for his 40th of the season while on the powerplay and Jason Robertson would score to get the Stars back within one. Then in the third period, Mavrik Bourque would score for the Stars, but goals from Timo Meier and Dougie Hamilton (ENG) would give the Devils the 6-4 victory over the Stars.
Vegas Golden Knights v. Winnipeg Jets – 8p ET
- In Winnipeg, the Vegas Golden Knights would come to town to battle the Jets, and in the first period, Kyle Connor would score to give the Jets the 1-0 lead. In the second period, Alex Iafallo and Cole Perfetti would score to grow the Jets lead to three, but Colton Sissons would score on the powerplay to get the Knights on the board. Then in the third period, Mark Scheifele would score an empty netter to give the Jets the 4-1 victory over the Golden Knights.
