- It was announced on Friday afternoon that the NHL and the NHLPA have agreed to a joint initiative to have long-term international growth within Germany.
- Key points with the initiative include:
- Strategic investment in grassroots movements
- Content and other fan engagements across Germany
- Forging new, long-term partnerships
- Committing to more regular season games in the country
- With the last point, it was announced that the 2026 Global Series will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany at PSD Bank Dome
- The contests will take place on December 18th and 20th between the Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks

Anaheim Ducks v. Ottawa Senators – 1p ET

- In Vancouver, the Goldeneyes and Charge faced off for the final time in the regular season and following a scoreless first, Ottawa took the 1-0 lead when Fanuza Kadirova scored a power play goal, her seventh of the year. In the third, Vancouver got on the board when Sarah Nurse scored her fifth and then Sophie Jaques netted her fifth of the year as the Goldeneyes took the 2-1 lead. However, Ottawa tied the contest when Sarah Wozniewicz struck with her fourth of the year. In overtime, Rebecca Leslie scored her 11th on the season as the Charge got the 3-2 win over the Goldeneyes.
Boston Bruins v. Washington Capitals – 3p ET
- In Washington, the Capitals hosted the Bruins and following a scoreless first period Washington took the 1-0 lead when Matt Roy took the 1-0 lead but then Boston tied the game when Charlie McAvoy scored his eighth of the year. In the third, Rasmus Sandin netted his fourth of the year as the Caps took the lead back but then Charlie McAvoy scored his second of the contest as the Bruins tied the game once more. Following the scoreless overtime, the game moved to the shootout where Boston’s Fraser Minten scored the game winner in the ninth round of the shootout to give the Bruins the 3-2 win over the Capitals.
Colorado Avalanche v. Winnipeg Jets – 4p ET
- In Winnipeg, the Jets hosted the Avalanche and following the scoreless first, Kyle Connor scored his 30th of the year as Winnipeg took the 1-0 lead and then Alex Iafallo scored his 11th of the year as the Jets went up 2-0. In the third, Colorado got on the board when Martin Necas scored his 31st of the year but then Cole Perfetti netted his ninth with an empty netter as the Jets defeated the Avalanche 3-1.
New York Rangers v. Minnesota Wild – 6p ET
- In Minnesota, the Wild hosted the Rangers and in the first New York took the 1-0 lead when Noah Laba scored a power play goal, his ninth goal on the season, and then Vladislav Gavrikov scored his 13th as the Rangers went up 2-0. In the third, Minnesota got on the board as Matt Boldy scored a power play goal, his 38th score of the year, but then Jaroslav Chmelar netted his second to put New York back up two. Then, Vincent Trocheck scored his 13th as the Blueshirts went up 4-1. In the third, Danila Yurov scored his 10th of the year for Minnesota but the Rangers held on to defeat the Wild 4-2.
Toronto Maple Leafs v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
- In Buffalo, the Maple Leafs hosted the Maple Leafs and in the first period, Buffalo took the 1-0 lead when Owen Power scored his seventh of the year but then Toronto tied the game when Dakota Joshua netted his eighth of the year. In the second, Max Domi scored his 10th to put Toronto up 2-1 but then Jack Quinn scored his 16th with a Buffalo power play goal to tie the game 2-2. Following a scoreless overtime, Alex Tuch scored the game winner in the shootout as the Sabres defeated the Maple Leafs 3-2.
San Jose Sharks v. Montréal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montréal, the Canadiens hosted the Sharks and in the first Montréal took the 1-0 lead as Cole Caufield scored his 38th of the year but then San Jose got on the board as Macklin Celebrini netted his 34th of the season. In the second, Mario Ferraro struck with his fifth of the year to put the Sharks up 2-1 but then Collin Graf scored his 18th as San Jose took the two goal lead. Then, Nick Suzuki’s 22nd of the year brought Montréal within a goal. In the third, Macklin Celebrini scored his second of the night with an empty net goal as the Sharks doubled up the Canadiens 4-2.
Carolina Hurricanes v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 7p ET
- In Tampa Bay, the Lightning hosted the Hurricanes and in the first Andrei Svechnikov scored his 24th of the year to put Carolina up 1-0 and then Sebastian Aho netted his 24th of the season as the Canes went up 2-0. In the second, Yanni Gourde scored his eighth on the year as Tampa got on the board and then Charle-Edouard D’Astous netted his fourth as the Bolts tied the game. In the third, Jordan Martinook netted his ninth as Carolina re-took the lead and then Logan Stankoven scored an empty netter, his 13th of the year, as the Hurricanes defeated the Lightning 4-2.
Los Angeles Kings v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET
- In New Jersey, the Devils hosted the Kings and in the first New Jersey took the 1-0 lead when Cody Glass scored his 15th and then Nico Hischier scored his 22nd as the Devils took the 2-0 lead. In the second, Anze Kopitar scored a power play goal, his ninth goal on the season, to put the Kings on the board and then Artemi Panarin scored his 22nd of the year as Los Angeles tied thje game. Then, Taylor Ward went on to score his third of the year as the Kings took the 3-2 lead. In the third, Arseny Gritsyuk scored his 12th to tie the game and then Nico Hischier scored his second of the night with a power play goal as New Jersey took the 4-3 lead. Then, Anze Kopitar scored his second power play goal of the night as Los Angeles tied the game once more but then Jack Hughes scored his 17th of the year with a power play goal to put New Jersey in the the lead. Then, Timo Meier scored his 18th of the year with an empty net goal as the Devils downed the Kings 6-4.
Calgary Flames v. New York Islanders – 7p ET
- In Long Island, the Islanders hosted the Flames and in the first New York took the 1-0 lead as Casey Cizikas scored his eighth of the year and then Simon Holmstrom scored a pair of goals, the second on the Isles power play, as New York went up 3-0. After a scoreless second, Mikael Backlund netted his 15th as the Flames got on the board and then Calgary’s Blake Coleman scored his 16th of the year. However, the Islanders held on as they went on to defeat the Flames 3-2.
Columbus Blue Jackets v. Philadelphia Flyers – 730p ET
- In Philadelphia, the Flyers hosted the Blue Jackets and in the first Kirill Marchenko netted his 25th of the year bu then Alex Bump scored his second of the year as Philadelphia tied the game. With the game still tied after an additional 45 minutes of game play, the contest moved to the shootout where Columbus’ Kirill Marchenko scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Blue Jackets the 2-1 victory over the Flyers.
Detroit Red Wings v. Dallas Stars – 8p ET
- In Dallas, the Red Wings made their lone visit to the Lone Star State to take on the Stars. In the first, Dallas took the 1-0 lead when Wyatt Johnston netted his 36th of the year. In the second, Michael Bunting netted his 14th of the year with a power play goal.
