News
- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have suspended Anaheim Ducks defenseman Radko Gudas.
- Gudas would be suspended for five (5) games for kneeing Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews on Thursday, March 12th.
- Gudas will forfeit $104,166.65 based on his average annual salary per the terms of the CBA.
- The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that forward Auston Matthews will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
- Matthews suffered a Grade 3 MCL tear and a quad contusion when he took a knee on knee hit from Anaheim Ducks defenseman Radko Gudas on Thursday, March 12th.
- Matthews will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

- On Long Island, Anze Kopitar would make his final appearance as the Los Angeles Kings would face the New York Islanders, and in the first period, Trevor Moore, Kopitar, and Adrian Kempe would score to give the Kings the commanding 3-0 lead. In the second period, Emil Heineman would score to get the Islanders on the board. Then in the third period, Heineman would score again to get the Islanders back within one, but it would not be enough as the Kings would hold on for the 3-2 victory over the Islanders.

Edmonton Oilers v. St. Louis Blues – 730p ET
- In St. Louis, the Blues would play host to the Edmonton Oilers, and after a scoreless first period, Kasperi Kapanen would score to give the Oilers the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period, Connor McDavid would score to give the Oilers the 2-0 lead, but goals from Pius Suter and Cam Fowler would send the game to overtime tied at 2 for the Blues. In the extra frame, Robert Thomas would score to complete the comeback for the Blues as they would go on to defeat the Oilers 3-2 in overtime.
Seattle Torrent v. Minnesota Frost – 8p ET (PWHL)
- In Minnesota for PWHL action, the Frost would battle the Seattle Torrent, and in the first period, Peyton Anderson would score her first career PWHL goa and Abby Hustler would score to give the Frost the 2-0 lead. In the second period, Klára Hymlárová would score to grow the Frost’s lead to three. Then in the third period, Lexie Adzija would score on the powerplay for the Torrent, but Taylor Heise would score on the empty net to give the Frost the 4-1 victory over the Torrent.
